When Planet Organic opened its doors in 1995, it was Renee Elliott’s dream to offer the best and widest range of organic food and products available. Now trading from six stores across London with over 180 employees Planet organic is the UK’s largest fully certified organic supermarket selling only the freshest healthiest and most delicious organic natural food as well as the finest organic skin care, books, juices and takeaway food. The organic supermarket design is light airy and modern, the walls are painted with soft heritage green and greys with display equipment formed from stainless steel and rustic timber Design CLD has been working with the retailer since 2010 in partnership with shopfitting contractor Moorehurst interiors. This work has involved designing store layouts, design meetings and general consultancy services We were closely involved in the design and development of the recently opened store in Devonshire Place in London. Our work included the detail design of merchandise units and servery counters for the food to go counter.
