When traditional Indian Jewellery retailer Bhanji Gokaldas took the the bold decision to relocate into a purpose built jewellery showroom they turned to Design CLD to get the right look. A key decision was to capitalise on the success of their existing on-line jewellery shop by re-branding the new store as 'Pure Jewels'. Design CLD were asked to deliver a sophisticated interior designed to appeal beyond the Asian community without alienating existing customers. The solution combined an earthy, organic and natural colour palette rich in texture and pattern with hi tech glass cabinets and specialised jewellery lights. The lights brought sparkle warmth and focus to the jewellery displays while the easy view cabinets allowed the customer to get closer to the jewellery. The new look resulted in higher value individual sales, increased turnover and wider market share, not to mention a queue of quality jewellery brands eager for Pure Jewels to stock their product.
