Store design for men's clothing retailer, D2
At Design CLD, we are enthusiastic about partnering with other complementary businesses to help them reduce their workload, add creative edge or break into new commercial areas. That’s why, when shopfitting company RDS approached us, they received a positive response. Highly successful and overloaded with work, they were seeking a design consultancy that could provide reliable support and understanding, add value to their service and differentiate them from other shopfitters. Initially, they asked Design CLD to produce retail design concepts to help bolster their bid to win work from the Gadget Shop. Our original proposals were warmly received and we now regularly partner with RDS, handling design and project management for both casual wear retailer D2 and fashion shoe stores, Qube. Working in close harmony with our partner, we oversee all aspects of a new retail site, presenting design and layout variations for each location, issuing tenders for contractors, pushing through planning approvals and handling a multitude of other tasks, all to tight deadlines. Our detailed knowledge and commitment have seen us work on numerous successful projects, including Qube in the Bullring, Birmingham, D2 outlets in Dublin and Argyle Street in Glasgow and a 5000 sqft USC store in Doncaster.
