Project briefings from Design CLD

Launch of "The Grill at Twenty Five" lounge bar and restaurant

This venue's memorable location, just 2 minutes drive from junction 25 of the M1, was the inspiration behind the classic car theme created by Design CLD. The restaurant specialises in grilled food which led to the name "The Grill at Twenty Five" and the design of a strong and coherent brand identity.

Design CLD helped the new owners turn the large, jaded restaurant into a flexible eye catching venue that can perform as a lounge bar, diner, restaurant and function room. The space, divided by folding doors, can operate as a breakfast bar for the neighbouring hotel and also bring in independent trade as a wedding venue, music venue and function room. The two halves can easily be reunited on busy nights by pulling back the folding doors. Managed wisely, the choice of options can be varied to optimise the profitability of the building.

Redesigned and revitalised Temooljee supermarket re-opens in the Seychelles

We have worked in Europe, West Africa, The Middle East and China so we were well placed to provide retail store design services to a prestigious Seychelles supermarket. We used an initial visit to develop an essential understanding of the local market place and the competition. We also gathered practical information to help with the logistics of implementing the proposed design in this remote island location. We tendered and commissioned key joinery elements such as the signage and bespoke joinery in the UK and then arranged for them to be shipped to the Seychelles, along with other components that were unavailable locally. The revitalised store has increased its impact on the high street in a way that could not have been achieved if they had used only local suppliers.
